ARTifact Japan
Welcome to the ARTifact Japan chapter! Here, we celebrate the profound cultural heritage and contemporary creativity of Japan through the performing arts. Our chapter embraces traditional Japanese arts, such as Kabuki and Noh theatre, and the powerful rhythms of Taiko drumming, while also incorporating modern expressions.
Chapter Leader: Lisa Hawes
Hi, I’m Lisa from Kobe, Japan. I’m half Japanese and half Australian. To introduce my background in art, I’ve been playing the violin for 13 years, as well as the alto sax for 4 years. I’ve also been dancing for 8 years, as well as theatre related activities such as attending youth theatre camps and participating in a total of 8 school plays. I’m so excited to work with ARTifact, especially getting to know various genres of art and how each are unique in different ways!!
